As Catholics we are faced with a moral decision concerning whether or not we accept to be inoculated with a morally tainted vaccine.
There are a number of facets to consider.
- Vaccines available may be morally tainted.
- Available vaccines have varying levels of moral taint due to the use of cell-lines derived from the bodies of one of three murder victims.
- This taint varies from the use of these cell-lines in one or more of the design, development, production or testing of the vaccines in question.
- Commercial success of morally tainted vaccines encourages the continued use and development of morally tainted vaccines and the creation of new cell-lines tainted by the sin of murder.
These are the moral issues that we must weigh in making our decision.
