 + JMJ  As I passed in front of the Catholic Church in my town, I automatically made a Sign of the Cross.  Because the cemetery is just beside it I also said the following prayer: Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. I learned to make this Profession of Faith (Sign of the Cross) when my family started attending the Tridentine Mass in my city.  This was later reinforced when I attended St. Mary's Academy in St. Marys, Kansas.  Today I wondered, why we do this and if I could find an easy source of it.  + JMJ Nota Bene: This will be a somewhat rambling article as I only heard today about it being the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. So these are some impressions that occurred to me as I drove home from work. So, across the world there are a variety of opinions about what Germany did in the concentration camps.  The same holds true within Traditional Catholicism.  There is a spectrum of beliefs, opinions and theories about the Holocaust and the factory efficient murder of Jewish people deported from occupied countries. It is not unique to Traditional Catholicism, but it is the stick that people like to use to 'beat' down the Trads. Well ... that would be a mistake.  + JMJ   I've been watching the popularity of the post about Fr. Pfeiffer's attempted episcopal consecration and its continued top listing on the 'popular posts' list at the bottom of posts.  After some thought, I decided that I don't want to be responsible for anyone joining Fr. Pfeiffer's 'group', however unlikely that would be at this time. So I have reverted the article to the draft state. If anyone wants it reinstated, I would ask that they comment on this post with a rationale for reinstatement. P^3

 + JMJ  Over the past few months I've noticed that the article on Fr. Pfeiffer's attempt to finally be consecrated bishop has been the more popular post. Periodically it'll get knocked down for a week or so when there is another popular post - but invariablly it migrates back to the top. I looked into the stats and whoa ... ... that is a lot of clicks.   Looking at all the posts, this one is #3 vs all time and still gets3 of so clicks per day. Pretty interesting, I wonder who is searching for this post. Just a bit of curiosity! P^3 P.S. Just in to be clear - this blog is not monetized.

 + JMJ In 2010, we moved into a house and transitioned from dial-up internet to DSL and it took a little time to adjust. It was at that point that I discovered online forums such as AngelQueen,Ignis Ardens, Suscipe Domine, Cathinfo (I was banned within a couple of days). I was even invited to a resistance forum that started when Ignis Ardens started it's death spiral.  I was banned within 20 minutes - my personal best!   Those days were exciting and I was very thankful that my mother forced me to take typing.  It got to the point that my 'resistor' opponents could not conceive of my being a single person. At one point the opinion emerged that I was about 3 to 5 Menzigenites working against the 'resistance'.   Those were heady days indeed.
