Well, I have been seeking the sacraments from the SSPX since 1982 and I don't consider it and 'idyllic bubble' but a heck of a lot better than what I hear my Modern Catholic have to deal with an a daily basis.

It is funny how Christine doesn't hate the SSPX, just what she believes about the SSPX. Me thinks that there may be a beam in the way.

I am beginning to suspect that Christine may have personally been affected by this form of abuse, she doesn't seem to be able to keep her peace of soul and lashes out to defend her beliefs.

Interesting, if something doesn't reinforce her narrative / story, it doesn't make it into 'print'.

Anyone for a healthy dollop of confirmation bias?

+ JMJ An article has appeared in the Remnant (link to article) and I am afraid that there are a number of flaws in it that need to be addressed. The author, Martin Blackshaw, believes that both the Church and the SSPX are misapplying the principle of Moral Theology called 'Cooperation In Evil'. Unfortunately, Mr. Blackshaw rests most of his arguments on citing authors that support his position, without considering the possibility that they are wrong. This highlights a key factor in this crisis: ignorance of the faith and its application . Should Traditional Catholics Fear Donum Veritatis? Part B (Long Rambling Answer)

+ JMJ Tradical's Rambling Thoughts I think this comes down to three questions: Is the Novus Ordo Missae (NOM) valid? Is it licit? What does Donum Veritatis have to do with it? The first question is easy to answer: With the usual conditions the NOM is valid. ( See this link ) The second question is a little trickier: Is the NOM licit?
