Quick post:
Last time I mentioned that it is up to 'trads' to do their part in helping the Church emerge from this crisis.
This can come in a variety of forms.
For some, it means just doing your duty of state.
For others, it means being more active.
My recommendation is to either join an apostolate (Legion of Mary) or let God decide.
I live in a rural area and providence has placed me in the company of a number of non-Trad Catholics.
Suffice to say it has been interesting (understatement), difficult, stressful and ... rewarding.
In dealing with this situation, it is important to do three things:
- Be patient: As a traditional Catholic your perspective is, frankly, alien to a lot of non-Trad Catholics.
- Be patient: It is not 'your' Truth, it is 'The Truth'. If you can't bring forward the Truth in as objective a manner as possible, you'll probably do more harm than good. Just remember, this is not about you.
- Be patient: Helping non-Trad Catholics (sometimes even Trads) to understand and accept a Catholic Dogma, Doctrine, Discipline, and Principle takes time. Patience is the key!
