+ JMJ Introduction "I don’t understand why they are so afraid of this Mass!!!" A Conservative Catholic priest spoke these words to me one evening in his parich parking lot in 2011, mere days before Pope Benedict XVI issued his follow up to Summorum Pontificum ( 2007-07-07 Motu Proprio , Letter to Bishops , ), Universae Ecclesiae ( 2011-04-30 Motu Proprio , Note ). The people who were afraid that night were bishops. This conservative priest had started a project a year or so earlier – very simply a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration chapel. Earlier that evening I had visited this chapel with some friends and ended up in a conversation with the priest after everyone had left. Word reached the bishops palace after the completion of the chapel and the priest received a phone call and visit from his local ordinary.   + JMJ It occurred to me that I was aware of either the scriptural or doctrinal foundation of all the 'Traditional' mysteries of the Rosary, save the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. So I decided to some checking - first with ChatGPT (see below) and then to read the Encyclical of Pope Pius XII -  AD CAELI REGINAM (link). So, I'm happy to see that yes the Pope's have spoken on the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary and pointed to Our Lady crowned with stars as support for the belief. I still wonder if the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary has really being accomplished.  So many missed opportunities. P^3

 + JMJ In the late 1990s / early 2000s, caches of religious goods were few and far between.  In the 80's, I remember walking into the 'Big Gym' in St. Mary's and seeing the dozens of marble altars waiting in the dusty shadows. Waiting for the call to serve once again as the place for the Sacrifice. Then I heard that one of the old Catholic Churches was going to be torn down and that the parish priest was giving things away.  + JMJ Part 3 The Rosary Introduction One dominant aspect of the Catholic Church in the period after the Second Vatican Council is its instability. Practically everything in the expression of the Faith (liturgy, art, places of worship, doctrine) was tainted with what I would describe as an insatiable desire for novelty. Whether it was whitewashing over the ceilings of churches, wreckovations, the open invitation / invasion of the Sanctuary by Men, Woman, Girls, clowns, and even puppets (you can’t make up this stuff). Aside from making the Novus Ordo Missae palatable for our protestant brothers, there has been a trend of minimizing anything else that could serve as a barrier to them. Nothing seems to be excluded from this neurotic compulsion to destroy and obliterate anything that, in essence, represents Catholicism as understood prior to the the end of the Second Vatican Council.
