I've been looking for a word to describe the harsh, snide tone of both CMTV and Canon212.
I think Vitriol is a good word:
Here's the Cambridge definition:
He is a writer who has often been criticized by the press but never before with such vitriol.
Synonyms
I think this fits, violent hate and anger expressed through severe criticism. Invective is also appropriate, but doesn't spring off the tongue as Vitriol does.
While I suspect they would deny it, both Canon212 and CMTV are engaging in hateful attacks on various people. Attacks that definitely lack both charity and in many cases honesty.
They aren't 'mad trads', they're just mad, with reason, but mad nonetheless.
Be careful where you get your information, if the authors aren't grateful (link) for the gift / burden of being Traditional, then they may drag you into their death spiral.
