Michael Matt has posted a good video on his Unite the Clans Campaign and I think it is a good idea.
The biggest problem that I've seen with the various responses to this crisis is the scattered and leaderless the good guys.
I've wanted to go to the Angelus Press conference for some time (also because I can squeeze in a visit to my friends near Kansas City and my Alma Mater).
I think it is also a good idea to go the CIC to understand that perspective of the attendee's and at least to understand that we're not alone.
Some of the problems that I've noticed in Trads over the decades come from being too isolated from Catholicism across the world. Attending different good conferences is a remedy to this malady.

ReplyDeleteHow do you reconcile "unite the clans" with Archbishop Lefebvre.
“Instead of looking to their friends, to the Church's defenders, to those fighting on the battlefield, they look to our enemies on the other side. "After all, we must be charitable, we must be kind, we must not be divisive, after all, they are celebrating the Tridentine Mass, they are not as bad as everyone says"—but they are betraying us—betraying us! They are shaking hands with the Church's destroyers. They are shaking hands with people holding modernist and liberal ideas condemned by the Church. So they are doing the devil's work.” (Two Years After the Consecration, September 6, 1990)
Take a look at Fr Bisig who thinks Archbishop Lefebvre is guilty of schism?
