In one of his last videos Matt Carriker passed on the above advice he received from an elderly gentleman.
The point was that when we're young we are on the upward slope of the hill.
Trying to make ends meet, keep life, family, work all together and not die young.
Then you hit the edge of the plateau. The making ends meet seems a little easier even as life and Providence throw you some curves in the road.
That's when the opportunity comes to step back and make a difference.
In what way to make a difference will be different for all of us ... but that is the opportunity. Maybe you'll have a chance to help someone who's just treading water. Maybe something smaller or bigger.
Just step back and look at your life, your trajectory and try to determine what God want's next.
