 + JMJ I realised a while back that conspiracy theories are attempts at explaining complicated events. Which isn't a big deal until they become a belief. When I first entered the Traditional Catholic domain, there was a theory the Paul VI had been replaced by some nefarious people.  The reasoning what similar to the SedeVacantists, the pope can't do X, and did X so he can't be pope. Fast forward forty years and we have a respectable academic ( Home - Sister Lucy Truth ) saying the same thing about Sister Lucia. It is basically the same premise all over again, Our Lady said X and Sister Lucia said X (about the consecration) and that can't be so ... Sister Lucia can't be Sister Lucia. You see where this is going?  + JMJ I've 'bumped' into my share of Internet Trolls over the years and came across one YouTube video that made an excellent point. A female TV meteorologist posted a video on Trolls and said something that struck me. It turned out that one Troll she encountered had some developmental issues and came across as a Troll, but when the Troll started getting Trolled it was devastating. Thinking back, while some of the Trolls I encountered just had issues with language, I had never considered the simple fact that Trolls are people too. This makes it more difficult to deal with them. Unless of course the Troll is an AI ChatBot! P^3

So, whether it happens or not there has been, for decades, a hatred of the Tridentine Mass.  The "Why?" is more important than the multiple attacks against the Mass. There have been many articles written on this and I think it can be summed as the following: The Teaching of the Catholic Church is no longer compatible with the Tridentine Mass and what it teaches. Now - I'm not talking about the Dogmas of the Catholic Church - just the spiritually poisonous Spirit of Vatican II that has been flooding the Catholic Church even before the Council started. As long as the Church remains infected with this "Spirit", the Tridentine Mass and Traditional Catholics will continue to be persecuted. We know what we have to do, pray and support the SSPX. P^

 + JMJ     Peter Kwasniewski has published an article on the opposition to the Tridentine Mass - of which there appears to be no small amount in the hierarchy.   As one diocesan priest said to me, "I don't understand why they are so afraid of this Mass." I think I know why they are afraid and why they have every reason to be afraid. The Tridentine Mass, simply stated, is the embodiment of what the Catholic Church Teaches - even today.  You can't promote ecumenism of accompaniment with a liturgy the teaches ecumenism of return and conversion.  + JMJ  Well, the Crisis of the Catholic Church continues down the same path with Pope Francis' foot on the accelerator.   The biggest news item is the rumoured attempt to ban the Tridentine Mass ... again.  I'll add some additional comments below as time allows. My only word of advice is, if you have the Tridentine Mass be it SSPX, FSSP, Diocesan or other,  to continue to be grateful for it.  If it is taken away from you, well that will be a test for those outside the SSPX as the experiment of Tradition is still too scary for the hierarchy.  + JMJ   So it is  interesting to see how 'Where Peter Is' appears so desperate to discredit anyone who doesn't agree with them.  Just because +Strickland doesn't explicitly state that he believes Pope Francis to be pope - the author jumped off the cliff and believed that the good bishop was on the same branch as Archbishop Vigano.
