In my opinion, for all his faults, with Summorum Pontificum (link) and Universae Ecclesiae (link) Benedict XVI, did more for the Church than any other post-conciliar pontiff.

Even as Pope Francis attempts to undo this work, we Catholics have a duty and obligation to pray that Benedict has a good death and for his salvation.

Pope Francis has said former Pope Benedict XVI is very ill and he has asked pilgrims at the Vatican to pray for him.
Benedict, 95, became the first leader of the Catholic Church to stand down in 600 years in 2013, citing advanced age.
At the end of the Pope's final audience of the year, he asked people to "pray a special prayer for Pope Emeritus Benedict".
The Vatican then said the ex-Pope's health had worsened in recent hours.
"The situation at the moment remains under control, constantly followed by doctors," said spokesman Matteo Bruni.
Pope Francis was addressing a general audience in the Vatican's Paul VI hall when he looked up from a piece of paper and spoke about Benedict's declining health.
He then went to visit Benedict at the Mater Ecclesiae monastery - where he has lived since he stepped down - which is a short walk from the audience hall within the Vatican Gardens.

A Reply to Martin Blackshaw’s FLAWED Remnant article titled: FLAWED: SSPX Advice on Abortion-tainted Vaccines

+ JMJ An article has appeared in the Remnant (link to article) and I am afraid that there are a number of flaws in it that need to be addressed. The author, Martin Blackshaw, believes that both the Church and the SSPX are misapplying the principle of Moral Theology called 'Cooperation In Evil'. Unfortunately, Mr. Blackshaw rests most of his arguments on citing authors that support his position, without considering the possibility that they are wrong. This highlights a key factor in this crisis: ignorance of the faith and its application . I don't am not singling out Mr. Blackshaw for this criticism, I have observed that it applies to laity and religious, superior and subject a like. No one seems immune in this enduring crisis, myself included. I further believe that this ignorance is why so many Catholics, both traditional and non, rely on their gut feeling or "Catholic conscience" for charting their way through this crisis of the faith. + JMJ Understanding the levels of assent to be given to the teachings of the Church is a critical success factor in walking the knife's edge during this crisis of the Church. The levels of assent are generally associated with the theological grades of certainty, which are not surprisingly mirrored by the censures for contravening the teachings of the various levels.
