FSSPX.News: Archbishop Gänswein Counterattacks

+ JMJ Somethuing for the Chronicle. P^3 Courtesy of FSSPX.News Archbishop Gänswein Counterattacks  A few days after the Pope Emeritus's letter responding to the report on the management of abuses committed in the Archdiocese of Münich and Freising between 1945 and 2019, Benedict XVI's private secretary intervened in the American media to denounce an enterprise of destabilization coming from the German Synodal Way. In the lines that follow, it is not a question of defending or accusing the Pope Emeritus, but, in reporting the words of Archbishop Gänswein, of noting the simultaneity of the attacks made against the figure of Josef Ratzinger and the attacks against Catholic dogma, discipline, and morals by the German Synodal Path movement, a simultaneity which is disturbing to say the least. The best defense is a good offense: an adage that the private secretary of the former Roman pontiff made his own, during an exclusive interview with EWTN o...

SSPX.org: Interview with Bishop Bernard Fellay on SSPX, the Mass, Traditionis Custodes - Part 2

+ JMJ  I like that the first question responds to a regular criticism stemmed in ignorance of the SSPX. P^3 Courtesy of SSPX.org: Bishop Fellay on SSPX, Mass and TC Pt2 In the first part of this interview, Bishop Bernard Fellay, who held the position of Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) for 24 years, responds to questions asked by Mr. Luis Román. The first part of the interview is available here . Luis Román is the producer and host of two programs on YouTube and all podcast platforms. In his programs he shares the Gospel and delves into the beauties and riches of the Catholic Faith, with analysis of current news, interviews and more. While some editorial adjustments have been made to this translation and transcript of the video interview, the conversational style of the conversation has been retained throughout. Mr. Román: In this second part of the interview, we focus a little more on the liturgy. We discuss why the Society of Saint Piu...

SSPX: Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

+ JMJ    In preparation for the First Five Saturdays! P^3       Courtesy of FSSPX.news   Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary March 25, 2022 Source: fsspx.news The consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary which will be accomplished this Friday, March 25, 2022, is a condition requested by the Virgin Mary for divine intervention against the diffusion of the errors of Soviet Russia, errors which have already penetrated everywhere. But the question of the conversion of Russia is not the ultimate goal of the requests made at Fatima. This goal is the establishment of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, according to different terms. The liturgical cult, through which we render a just honor to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary, and to which numerous men and women saints have opened the way, was approve...

Russian Forces Halt Kyiv Advance: A first sign that Russia has finally been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary?

+ JMJ  Decades ago I worked for a military contractor and got in the habit of checking out military / defense news.  Today I noticed something very interesting in Defense News: Russia has halted the advance on Kyiv.  On Friday March 25th! I had to dig to find this in mainstream media (see links below). Our forces and equipment will focus on the most important thing, the complete liberation of Donbass, Russian General Staff head of military operations Sergei Rudskoi said at a Friday briefing in Moscow, as reported by Interfax. Rudskoi said the month-long invasion had completed its first phase and achieved its purpose: keeping Ukraine from retaking the separatist-controlled Donbass territories.  Rudskoi claimed the attacks on Kyiv and outlying cities were done only to keep Ukraine from being able to send troops or defenses to Donbass.  ( Source DefenseOne ) Personally I would be surprised if they didn't keep the areas already under their control, but...

SSPX.org: Interview with Bishop Bernard Fellay on SSPX, the Mass, Traditionis Custodes - Part 1

+ JMJ  Context is important and from my perspective that is what we are getting in this interview. Time is more precious that ever now ... so I won't be able to add additional comments.  P^3   Courtesy of SSPX.org: Bishop Fellay on SSPX, Mass and TC Pt1   In the first part of this interview, Bishop Bernard Fellay, who held the position of Superior General of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX) for 24 years, responds to questions asked by Mr. Luis Román, on different topics: the consecrations of 1988, schism, the state of emergency, the value of ecclesiastical laws in times of crisis, the bull of Saint Pius V on the Mass, the New Mass, Summorum Pontificum of Benedict XVI, and Traditionis Custodes of Pope Francis. Luis Román is the producer and host of two programs on YouTube and all podcast platforms. In his programs he shares the Gospel and delves into the beauties and riches of the Catholic Faith, with analysis of current news, interviews and mo...

FSSPX.News: Pius XII and the Jews: The Archives Reveal Their Secrets

+ JMJ  This seemed worthy of a  quick note given the detractions made against Pope Pius XII.  P^3  Courtesy of FSSPX.News Pius XII and the Jews: The Archives Reveal Their Secrets February 10, 2022 Source: fsspx.news Pope Pius XII personally saved more than 15,000 Jews during the Second World War. This is the latest finding of the in-depth study carried out by a German historian on unpublished documents from the Vatican archives, inaccessible until recently. The black legend of a silent and complicit pope has definitely had its day. The chief archivist of the Bundestag (German parliament), Michael Feldkamp, spent part of his life trying to gain some clarity about the attitude of the Catholic Church towards the Jews during the Second World War, making him a recognized expert in the field. Having recently gained access to unpublished docu...

Michael Voris vs Taylor Marshall?

+ JMJ So it looks like Mr. Voris et al back away from calling the Pope a heretic or something he says is heretical . . . well, I typically don't do that, however if the Pope says something that is obviously heretical it isn't wrong to point this out and perhaps even to, in exasperation call the person who uttered those words a heretic. I listened to the part 1 of the pod cast and frankly, what is important is that he is simply asking people to compare what the Church taught before vs post V2.  I didn't hear him say that the pope isn't pope, but basically that he uttered heresy.   No surprise -that's why there was the correction.   Here's Mr Voris' admonition ... No layman should be making comments like that publicly [about whether Francis is an anti-pope or heretical]. I think it's sinful [deep, serious voice]; it's scandalous...that you could throw out a possibility that could lead people out of the Church....They better check themselves and I'...

Mining the Lancet Letter on relevance of the vaccinated & CDC Study of Delta Variant Infections

+ JMJ  The "vaccines" prevent neither infection nor transmission.  A recent article in The Lancet showed no statistical difference in secondary attack rates in households based on vaccine status.  A CDC study of an outbreak in a Texas prison showed 24% effectiveness in preventing disease across the entire study period and 3% for time more than 4 months beyond "full vaccination".( Suscipe Domine: Strickland: ‘I’d rather die than benefit from anything produced by using aborted ... ) The words above were written by Rock on the Suscipe Domine forum (link to post) , and being of a critical mind (which sometimes gets me into trouble), I wondered what the source materials stated and if this aligned with Rocks perspective.  Reading the above quote there are three assertions: Vaccines prevent neither infection nor transmission. There is no statistical difference in secondary attack rates based on vaccine status.  Vaccine efficacy in Texas prison was 24% across...

Fr Hunwicke's Mutual Enrichment: Blessed Pius IX, Idolatry, Syncretism, and Pachamama

+ JMJ  Fr. Hunwicke has written a short post that touches on syncretism (link) . I think he captures a good perspective in these paragraphs: Yes, followers of Isis taught; we all worship the same One, but under varied names and with different ceremonies ... but the Cult of Queen Isis is the truest and the best. ... One of her Greek titles was Polyonumos : She of Many Names. Pachamama can be added to the list of names without the tiniest problem!! This is the religious system known as Syncretism. It is tolerant ... it is inclusive. ... And when PF signed a document which applauded Diversity of Religion as being the will of God {Abu Dhabi}, I came the closest I have ever been to feeling that PF is a syncretist apostate and therefore manifestly cannot be pope. I quickly recovered! ... it remains true that his creation of such a blasphemous ambiguity was one of the most truly terrible moments in what has been a consistently terrible pontificate.  The statement th...

Pray for Vladimir Putin, Pray for the Consecration of Russia, Pray for the Pope

+ JMJ     Attribution: Kremlin.ru Looking at this war with the eyes of the Faith and realizing how close things are to spilling over into WW3 there are at least three intentions I believe that we need to make in our prayers this lent: Pray for Vladimir Putin: He is the person that can stop this war with a word.  He is the leader of a state and therefore has the Grace of State. He is in need of prayers to work with that grace. Pray for the Consecration of Russia: If this is just the beginning of the travails, then we need to increase of prayers for the consecration of Russia in accordance with the conditions stated by Our Lady of Fatima. Pray of Pope Francis: Both the Crisis of the Church and Crisis of States find their solution in the Blessed Virgin Mary's promise. The Pope is the fulcrum around which these two crises spin. So this Lent renew your prayers, fasting and alms giving for at least these three intentions. P^3
