JMJ
I recently mapped out all the people / organizations that regularly demand my attention and a portion of my most precious resource: time.
Over the past 5 years more than 25 sub-activities have sprouted from three core activities (religion, family, career).
With increased family and career related demands, I had to decide what should be dropped from the list.
Some cuts were easy, those activities that had already been 'inactive' for the last few months were the first to go.
One that I debated slicing was my participation on various Traditional Catholic Forums. Nothing forces a person to learn a topic well as engaging in discussions / arguments on a topic.
However, it is a huge time sink.
Which is something that I cannot afford right now with all of my other responsibilities.
So, I'm taking a 'forum' holiday until the week of August 25th. Meaning, I won't be engaging in discussions on any other forum except for Tradicat. I will re-evaluate my load at that time.
I'm confident that my absence will be missed by some and welcomed by others, but there is no alternative.
Now if I could just 'unvolunteer' from some commitees.
Cheers and don't forget,
