So, I guess the pandemic wasn't keeping CMTV's people busy enough.
Hence yet another hit piece against the SSPX and ... well its very sloppy.
I did a little fact checking and surprise, surprise things are not quite what they implied.
For example there is the alleged case of child abuse. It seemed like the accused had been tried.
Well, as far as I can see his case hasn't been tried, a number of charges have been dismissed by the judge and an appeal by the prosecution was likewise dismissed.
The prosecution argued the preponderance of evidence submitted by one of the two victims, who didn’t know she was the victim of a crime until she was 19, outweighed the substantial competent evidence that would have been necessary to implicate [the accused].So, like Cardinal Pell, one of the victims makes a preponderance of allegations ... but it should outweight the need for substantial competent evidence.
Wow ... well it could just false allegations.
They also dredge up the Sloniker case, which if I remember correctly, the abuse didn't happen in connection with an SSPX event.
But you can look it up for yourself.
At this point, until the alleged investigation to allegations (we only have CMTV's word on it) is complete we don't know anything.
Until then, I think they're just a bunch of MadTrads with an agenda.
