+ JMJ The Immaculata Consecration has taken place and a more normal situation has been put in place for the SSPX in St. Marys, Kansas. I remember the packed Assumption Chapel ( the school's former refectory) and the embellishments made to make it a worthy place for the Holy Mass. I remember Fr. De La Tour giving a talk on the great churches of Europe and ended by making an appeal for the rebuilding of the Immaculata. Thus began a decades long project to rebuild the church. Initially, they put a new roof on the top of the old bell tower to slow its decay. Then there was the cleaning of wreckage and conversion of the old cistern to the north into a workshop. Eventually, it was realized that there wasn't sufficient room on the site and so a new site was sought. Eventually, as related by Bishop Fellay, a new site near the cemetery at the North of the property was selected.
