Reality Check: SSPX Communique after meeting of major superiors

+ JMJ This is important enough for another post-retirement blog post. The SSPX is not going to compromise. Of key interest is: The “restoration of all things in Christ” intended by Saint Pius X, following Saint Paul (cf. Ep.h 1:10), cannot happen without the support of a Pope who concretely favors the return to Sacred Tradition. While waiting for that blessed day, the Society of Saint Pius X intends to redouble its efforts to establish and to spread, with the means that Divine Providence gives to it, the social reign of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I know this will be difficult for those individuals who have invested so much in the resistance. But as I said earlier - reality sucks. I pray that the resistors find the capacity to humble themselves and accept the reality.  The alternative is simply to deviate further from the Teachings of the Church and the path of Archbishop Lefebvre. + JMJ Willful ignorance annoys me. It annoys me enough to re-blog something even in retirement. On an 'incapacitor'* (ie resistance) website the following statement has been posted: The “new” SSPX reverses the course of its founder and accepts the new code of canon law The ignorance of the 'incapacitators' at various blogs astounds and annoys me because it is a denial of reality. Comparing the words of Archbishop Lefebvre to those of Bishop Fellay - we have the following? ◄ 2012 ► 8.
